    For next season:

    Quick
    Ward
    Halak
    Crawford
    Kipper
    Howard

Quick is an easy #1 for me. Ward is a workhorse and has the least competition. Only knock is the lack of good defensive dmen on Carolina. Halak is a bit of a wildcard. Could easily be at the top with Quick when all is said and done. But, isn't quite proven enough at this point.

Crawford could also be at the top by years end. If he struggles though, he's not established. There's risk here. Kipper has not posted great stats the last few years. He'll get his wins, but I'm not sold that the periphs will be remarkable. Howard is the least talented in my view. His saving grace is the team, but I wouldn't put it past Detroit to run with Conklin if Howard's struggling. Conklin has done well in the limited time he's seen.

Are people insane? Quick is EASILY at the top of this list, it's not even close, he belongs in the elite categories for goalies this upcoming season, and the same cannot be said about anyone else on that list.

Or did his 60 starts, 35 wins, 2.24 gaa and .918 sv% and 6 SO in 2011 not do it for you?

Quick is firmly entrenched as LA's #1 goalie - especially for just next season as the thread title suggests - and they've added Mike Richards, Simon Gagne and a healthy/improved Doughty and Jack Johnson to the blue line. Not to mention Kopitar is ready to hit full stride and flirt with 90 points.

In a nutshell, LA is stacked, and Quick may post top 3 goalie stats next year, how anyone could place him anywhere but at the top of this list is beyond me.

    1. Jonathan Quick

    2. Cam Ward
    3. Corey Crawford
    4. Jaroslav Halak

    5. Miikka Kiprusoff
    6. Jimmy Howard
