Default Peter Delmas Signs 3-Year Deal

I said it years ago - Delmas is a goalie worth tracking.

One team's trash is another team's treasure.

Delmas, now with Sanford and MacIntyre gone, has a good chance to earn an AHL gig.

Hamilton will most likely bring in a veteran goalie to take Sanford/MacIntyre's place, but obviously the Habs smartly recognize Delmas has potential.

Something I saw back in 2008 and 2009.

Also please take a few minutes to watch this video I shot of Delmas from Avs' 2009 Development Camp:

I clearly say it in this video that his footwork is terrific. How come the Avalanche couldn't see the same potential I saw? At least the Habs saw it ... and took advantage of it.

Can't wait to see how he follows up a very solid rookie season in the ECHL.

As I expected, the Habs signed a veteran for Hamilton. Nathan Lawson signed a new one-year, two-way contract. He'll be the starter, leaving Delmas and Mayer to fight for the backup role.

I'll take a guess and say Delmas wins that role.
