    Rask for me. Tim Thomas doesn't appear to be burning out anytime soon though.

    Bernier seems to have stalled. His partner in crime, Quick, is too young. He can't wait behind Quick for a decade. Bernier will have to ask to be moved at some point in time.

    Both are greatly inhibited by an outstanding starter. Finding opportunity would allow either to step ahead rapidly. Both Boston & LA seem very happy with the status quo. Can you blame them?

    Rask for me too. Only a year ago he posted some sick #s and carried BOS into the playoffs. Sure Thomas had a great bounce back season, but he's only around for 2 more years and I believe BOS has every intention of allowing Rask to grow into that starting role. I truly believe we'll see a 60/40 split this year between Thomas and Rask in favor of Thomas and a 50/50 split the following year before Rask takes over the reigns.

    Bernier has at least a 2 year wait as well and as JHM already pointed out, it could be much longer as Quick isn't anywhere close to retirement.

    I just feel Rask has proved more in the NHL than Bernier and is poised on the same 2 year time frame, but is virtually guaranteed to start then...Bernier is questionable to start even in 2 years.

    This year is the most telling, with numbers that good you would expect the team to have won more then 10 outta 16 games.

    Chara is getting older; Doughty is getting better;

    Boston is on the decline (there is no higher they can go from an organizational stand point)
    LA is on the rise;

    I go Bernier on the Heels of A) he is a better all round goalie.
    B) he either gets traded to a team where he becomes the franchise goalie so that LA can get some help on the wings;
    or
    Quick gets traded for the same reason, with LA management knowing the entire time that Bernier was supposed to be the future of the franchise.

    Obviously depends on your team which one you pick (if you have 2 other goalies in either the northeast or pacific; probably go with the opposite)

    Nobody's worried about Rask's tantrum in the AHL and his lesser numbers than Bernier in the the same league ?

    If the overall deal gets me Myers over OEL and the 5th overall this year over the 11th , do you then deal Rask for Bernier ?

    I'd rather have Bernier. Both goalies are in bad situations right now in terms of fantasy, but I just feel that Bernier's got the higher upside, and is going to be the better goalie.

    I'm one of the few that believes in Bernier over Rask, plus Rask's minor injury, which I've read can be bad over time for goalies concerns me.
