Hey now! Matt Nieto is a fantastic prospect. You all should be trying to trade for him.

Yeah, I read an article the other day that talked about Nieto. It felt like a high school team specific awards. I think he got fastest skater or hardest worker lol. This is the time to sell high on him metaldude.

Yes, Dyz, they do trade away the good ones as well. It's quite sad. They leave me nothing to get excited about and they never go after big free agents really. They make trades and keep losing all of our prospects. That's why I'm the opposite for the UHL team lol.

So lets take guesses on who is the red caboose (last place) and who we think has the best shot at winning this upcoming season.

For Winners, I have to pick Dyz, just to jinx him.

Losers, I'd guess Tampa or Boston.

I'd like to think it's me but I'm not sure what kind of shape my team will be in once all my RFA/UFA sign.

Plus Temek and eric pretty much have a monopoly on peripherals (FOW, Hits, Blks, PIM) so all it takes is a half-decent week from their offensive guys and goalies and they're tough as hell to beat.

I'll throw out a vote for Winnipeg as well - came up huge in playoffs and with a new owner at the helm could be interesting.

I'm not sure where my team stands next year - some guys overachieved and others underachieved. Overall I like to think it'll be a wash and I'll be in the thick of things again but who knows. The prospect pool improved a great deal this offseason though - I was surprised with what was available on the wire.

curious...anyone interested in changing the playoff format? 1 week matchup sucks ass...you spend the whole season kicking ass, and one bad week can ruin all that.

Sure... change it AFTER I get knocked out and people want to create a Joe Thornton award just to give it to me.

That's why the final is a 2 week matchup. We could run 2 week matchups for all of them... but that would make the playoffs the final two months of the season.
