    Default Start Rinne and/or Luongo?

Great. H2H Playoffs and it seems like this is the 5th or 6th times these guys have faced each other in the season lol

So who do you start if you own both? Luongo seems like the easy choice. Or do you start both and take the hit? Losses count in my league.

Since losses count against you in your league, its probably a good idea to go with Rinne (which is saying a lot cuz I'm a Canucks fan). Rinne has had the Canucks number this year and at home with malhotra and hamhuis out of the lineup for vancouver...i have a bad feeling.

Mind you if it was my team I would start luongo

With your goalies, I think that I would go with both tonight and take the loss. I don't think either team will lose another game this week anyway. Preds have the Avs on the road and then the Wings at home; Canucks face a hurting LA team and then Edmonton on the weekend. The only threat there is Detroit vs Nashville.

You also have Brodeur playing the Islanders later in the week! Go with both.

lol this is kind of what I'm hoping for! We'll see. The only problem I can think of is if they give Schneider some starts this week. That wouldn't be great.

I'm putting them both in. Screw it!

    thx guys

Slightly off topic, but for what reason do you have losses as a category? I don't understand the benefit of having negative categories. Your goalie setup encourages sitting them more often, especially if you start off the week strongly.

GAA and SV% are negative too if you think about it. Goalies start the game at perfect and go down from there in most instances - only a shutout maintains perfection there.

If there are ever two goalies you want to play against each other in hopes of a low scoring game this is probably best can hope for. I would go with both.

I am also curious about the inclusion of losses - we're always looking for ways to improve our league.

I think if you expand goaltending stats dramatically to include things like SA and SV's then L might come into play along with GS cat.

In your league Chili you might consider adding FOW as another dimension to consider when building a team. Otherwise I like your setup a lot.

True, but you can improve GAA and SV%. But losses is a cumulative stat that always hurts you.

My ideal goalie categories are W, GAA, SV and SV%.

Losses force teams in my league to make decisions like this. I'm pretty impartial to it really. I could do without it, but it's there and that doesn't really bother me either.
