am i the only one who actually bet?

No I actually did my bets but I just keep the amount low and track the bets. I want to see how good I do while betting actual money for like a five year period and if it's good then I'll start to bet larger amounts so I can make a real profit. So far I've only really done well with NFL bets where I killed it this year. My NHL bets were a slight gain but hardly enough of a sample size to get excited about. My NBA bets broke even this year. We'll see how playoffs and MLB goes.

I only make a bet or two a year when I think they are absolute locks.

Like Smyth this year.

But as long as you are betting (even a low amount) is what matters. It's easy to say so and so will be over or under when nothing is on the line.

That's precisely it. I wanted to see how well I would do with real money on the line. I loaded $200 up online. Went way up after football season but am sitting at $200 again with all my playoff bets and MLB bets out.
