    Default Raptors

Solid start. Kawhi trade looking good so far.

My biggest fear right now is the Raptors health at PG.

Delon Wright and FVF with lingering injuries. Especially FVF with turf toe. That is a tough injury to have this early in the season as he'll be dealing with that ALL year.

Kawhi seems to have that "Big shot" ability Derozan didn't. And I'm not talking about the final shot of a game, I'm talking about that, "They're starting to go on a run and Kawhi nails a shot to stop it". Toronto's issue was the runs the other team would get on without Toronto stopping it, or even getting a few points. a 12-0 run is a lot different than a 12-4 really.

11-1. Injuries have hit that team constantly throughout the year so far. Kawhi, CJ Miles, Powell, FVF, Wright. They are playing so well.

The best comparison of the way this team is built is "Playing in that much space is like hitting in Coors Field. All five starters are averaging career highs: Kawhi, Ibaka, and Siakam in points, Lowry in assists, and Green in 3-point percentage". That much 3-and-D players (like 80% of the team) create a lot of space for people, and the way Ibaka is being used with short game, with slight long game to keep people honest has worked so well.

Kawhi hasn't even hit full stride yet, and they've had a pretty bad schedule the last 13 days or so, something like 6games in 13 days while on a road trip.

Strike anyone else as weird a basketball player - playing on hard wood - gets 'turf toe'? They really need better names for these things. Next thing you know... Lowry will get 'tennis elbow'

I'm surprised it's actually called Turf Toe. But, it's caused by your big toe being bent up too far damaging the ligaments.

12-1 now. But Butler in the east it's not going to be easier. However I think the Butler thing in Philly isn't going to work out in the long run. It'll essentially destroy Fultz.

Today's American coverage on the Raps vs Warriors game is hilarious.

The excuse of the game last week was there wasn't Curry and Green. Durant put up 51pts, and Jok killed it from 3. Yes Curry+Green is a lot of help, but to totally just be like "meh, game was meaningless" was silly. Now it's "Welllll we don't have Cousins". I get the Warriors are the best team. THE best. But they just throw well executed games against the Warriors in the garbage all the time.

I hate Draymond Green btw. It's a bit insane how he can constantly do illegal things, and bark all the time and the refs just let him. He's honestly not that good of a player, the Warriors and his "defensive reputation" make him good. He sets illegal screens all the time, and constantly fouls ppl that don't get called. You can easily pile up assists on a shooting team like GSW. He can't handle big men, and benefit from other teams trying to match the Warriors small court constantly and doesn't get bodied up. He said something along the lines that he's not even sorry that JV's thumb got dislocated too, and not one American station has put that out there. He's a dick, and he seems like that player that when he's playing on your team you kinda hate him, but off the court he's a big personality. But once that "oh he's just messing around" honeymoon phase disappears, you find him stupid and annoying. He's the guy who jokingly says "you suck" to you, then you say it back and he gets all pissed. Just seems like that guy.

Never seen a shot like the one Leonard made to win the series. It's not often the ball bounces around like that and still goes in.

I have not watched more than about 10 minutes of basketball combined all season and I watched this entire game. What a final shot. Go Raptors!

Also, Leonard's shot was the first ever buzzer-beater in a 7th game.
