I'm really curious the reasoning to bring up Vlad now as April 12th was the first possible date he could have been up and still get that yr of control. Prolly cause the Leafs were eliminated and they're hoping this move brings back some fans.

Hadn't he just returned from an injury at that point?

Played A+ April 4-9 for rehab, AAA April11-24.

So ya, I guess. But from April11-17, he hit 0.412/0.500/1.324 (avg/OBP/OPS) in 5 games in AAA. So ehhhhh yeah I guess it kinda makes sense.

Very excited to see Vlad's debut today... I hope he is able to block out all the pressure and expectations. And I hope he can stay healthy.

1 for 4 with 2 long fly outs....and has a great eye. I don't think he swung at one bad pitch.

Playing the right way. But they're 1 more injury in their pitching staff away from losing this momentum.

I do enjoy how they're playing right now though. Playing the right type of game, not boom or bust.

This kind of "nothing to lose", "not being carried by one player" attitude is what I was hoping for when I gabbed them in the wins pool
