Yes even if hits count.. Bjorkstrand's play is very well suited for the NHL

Ill take Nick Ritchie. Book it. Will not fall for the OB hype.

Dont expect much from either this year though

    Fair enough.

I think both are suited for the NHL.

I don't know exactly what the league setup here as I don't do "standard Yahoo cats" leagues (I dont think I do) but for me, I would roll Ritchie in a league with hits. I think both will be solid offensive producers but the hits value leans the angle to Ritchie for me.

G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SOG, HIT. So you would lean slightly toward Ritchie in that set up?

I dont know where you read this at. This column just came out yesterday. I will quote HC Carlyle and Ritchies "shape".

    http://www.ocregister.com/articles/r...ame-going.html

Over this summer, the 6-foot-3, 227-pound Ritchie has addressed concerns about the shape he was in. The power forward hopeful now feels good about his skating and where he’s at physically. Now it is about learning how to score and doing it consistently.

“He’s taken conditioning to a different level as far as how serious he is,” Carlyle said. “He’s changed his body makeup. He’s lighter, he’s quicker. He’s getting scoring chances. Again, he’s just got to get comfortable in the position.

“We’ve played him up pretty high in the lineup. Is he going to stay there? Well, that’s going to be basically something we’re going have to determine over the next little while. And if he does, he’s going to have to produce.”

    Yes.
Still had an awful camp... anyways besides hits Ritchie is equal or inferior to Bjork in pretty much every other category

    From Rotoworld:
It looks like Nick Ritchie will enter the season as a member of the Anaheim Ducks.
The left winger struggled last season in his first try at the NHL level with only two goals and four points in 33 games. But this year could be different for the 20-year-old as he is lining up alongside Ryan Getzlaf and Jacob Silfverberg as a top-six forward in the absence of RFA Rickard Rakell. "He’s a big kid and he gets up and down the ice pretty well," Getzlaf said. "He’ll need to use his body more and more. I thought last game [at San Jose] he was real effective in protecting the puck and doing those kinds of things. I’d like to get him that confidence where when he has the puck, it’s a matter where he’s going to put it in the back of the net. Because he has that ability for sure." Ritchie is a power forward and they usually take longer to develop in the NHL but a 30-35 point season is not out of the question for Ritchie

If anything, ANH has a gaping hole on left wing in the top 6, even if they sign Rakell. So I'm sure Ritchie will be given every opportunity to succeed, and there's almost no doubt he'll at least start the season playing with Getzlaf. I'm sure Bjorkstrand will also get his crack at a spot in the top 6 with CBJ but their top 6 is actually quite crowded (Saad, Dub, Atkinson, Foligno, Jenner, Hartnell, Wennberg). I think Bjorkstrand in a 3 year window will outproduce Ritchie but I really like this situation in ANH this year. Just wanted to see if anyone else was on the same boat, as I am deciding on who to pick up from waivers (Schwartz on IR+)

Both Bjork and Ritchie will be top 6.. Wennberg is the 3rd line center

    Just to name a couple......

    2013–14
    MVP Travis Moran
    http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/p....php?pid=67591

    2014-15 MVP Jordan Weal
    http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=110234

Ritchie actually had way better #s in AHL last year.

And you know what it all means????? NOTHING!!!!
