I think you can get him a couple rounds later. Very valuable for sure, but much more likely to slide.

    Wow.

    - So, PL Dubois is leading with 8 votes. He was ranked the 125th best skater last season.
    - Zadina was 2nd in voting with 6 votes.
    - William Karlsson is 3rd in voting with 4. He was ranked the 43rd best skater last season sandwiched between Rantanen and Gaudreau. I?m surprised he was left unprotected.

Ugh. I have no clue what to do with my 3rd overall...

The best skaters from last year that have been left unprotected are:
    Dustin Brown ranked 25th
    Radulov ranked 40
    William Karlsson ranked 43
    Dumba 48
    Krug 50
A bunch of players like Staal, Suter, Muzzin and Zucker and then,
    JT Miller at 66.

Now picture a full season of Miller in TB with Stamkos and Kucherov.

That’s what I thought too, but this pool says PL Dubois by a mile and he was the 125th ranked skater last year. I’m shocked by my poll results to be honest.

Notice only one person made a comment about PLD as the guy to take, and he didn't even give a reason why he would go that way?

Either way, it's your choice and your team. You have to do what you think is best for it.

I think the title of this is all wrong.... Dobber's not late - your draft is a day early. That's the problem, who does a re-draft in August?

PLDubois just keeps adding to his lead.

I ended up trading my 3rd overall and reason I started this thread. Prior to this thread, I had in my head to target JT Miller, but seeing these results made me realize I can probably get someone falling to me later. Lots of good players in his poll as shown by how these skaters rankings last year are all available: Radulov was 40th last year, W. Karlsson 43rd, JT Miller 66th, and Zadina and Kovalchuk were not ranked obviously and the winner of this poll, PLD was 125th.

    I traded my 3rd overall for Pavelski, a 2nd and 3rd.

Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.

UPDATE: So I was very wrong. The draft has started and my 2nd round is 20th overall. So far the draft has gone like this:
    - Dahlin
    - Svechnikov
    - Zadina (was my pick and reason for this thread, but remember I traded it away for Pavelski, a 2nd and 3rd.)
    - PL Dubois
    - William Nylander
    - William Karlsson
    - Getzlaf

Now we wait for the 8th overall.

With the way it is going, I don’t think any of my poll will even be around, but whatever, I’m happy with Pavelski over anyone that has been drafted already.

I do however have and offer in for this pick where I give my 2nd and 3rd.
