I like Point, but Guentzel is a stud also. Can't really go wrong, I suppose.

It's close, but Point has a proven higher ceiling. I would place Point in a slightly higher tier than Guentzel.
Point is in a better position to put up some naughty little numbers. His +/- will also be better. Guentzal will start the year without a top C. Gotta go Point here.
hmm ya true very close guenz def get more goals tho
This is close but I'm defiantely taking Jake here. Some interesting numbers that caught my attention; in the last two years Points pts/game numbers have been declining, 1.16 (when he put up 92pts and I'm going to suggest that was a career year and he will not likely hit that again) .97 and then .86 last year. Guentzel on the other hand has a pts/game of 1.10 and then 1.02 last year. Comparing the last two years, Point has put up 48 goals and 64 assists and Jake has put up 43 goals and 57 assists however, and this is reflected in the pts/game numbers, Jake played 21 less games. I personally don't see any difference nor do I anticipate major change in the environments both these guys have been playing in for the last two years. To me, that translates into status quo. Further Guentzel fires the puck more than Point and based on last years number put up more PP points. I'm taking Jakes' much better pts/game numbers and peripherals and basing my decision on that.

i think they both will be very close the next couple of seasons, but once crosby is out, then you'll see the difference in production in favor of point.
i like point going forward

Comparing their stats over the last 3 seasons the difference is actually razor thin. Given that I think you default to the player on the better team and I think that's Point.
Sidenote: They both seems to have unsustainably high Shooting %, moreso with Point at 19.2 over the last 3 years. Guenztel shot slightly below his 3 year average of 16.8 last year and still scored the same number of goals as Point. Point was down at a more modest 17.6 last year but that was without Kucherov also...

A healthy Kooch will definitely help Point. I will go with Point here.

thanks so far guys
Definitely Point for me. Jake won’t have Crosby or Malkin to start the year while point will have Kuch. Either way I’m in the Point camp
Who are your other 2 keepers? These guys are both very good, so I'd like to make sure my answer isn't "both over xxx" instead.

Initial thought was Point. Then I thought about it some more and it's close. So I'll go with my gut with Point, as I think he has a bit more upside.
