Default Question regarding URLs

I\'ve noticed that some ppl post links with a.. http://tinyurl... something something.

1) How do you do that?
2) Is there a difference between that and [ url = LINK]...[ / url ]?

Thanks

I was trying to attach a screenshot of my editing, there\'s a limit of the pixels.

You can just quote my post and you will see how to do it.

Default Question regarding URLs

I think if you go to tinyurl.com or something, what you do is type in your URL (especially the beefy ones), then it shoots out a small link, hence the \"tiny\" url. I think most people that use those don\'t understand how to do the whole html code to post a URL on here or they just assume that doing it that way (tinyurl) is easier/quicker.

IMO, it\'s pretty simple just do to the [url=http://www.dobberhockey.com]Dobber hockey[/url) deal instead.

Different strokes for different folks.

ya normally I do the url tags but I was just curious as to what the tinyurl thing was. I guess it does it automatically if the link is too long.

thanks!

When you guys are posting, if you ever forget how to code that URL stuff, hover your mouse over \"URL\" in the Boardcode section, and in the yellow text, you will get a cheat sheet of how to format. [img size=405]http://www.dobberhockey.com/images/fbfiles/images/posting.JPG[/img]
