Sergachev is solid and I may have underrated him in Ottawa but Pulock was a monster down the stretch for NYI. I don't think he's failed to break out or impress by any means, especially after only one full season.

With Calvin Dehaan gone and no one new brought in so far on Defense for the isles and JT gone from the PP, Pulock will take his biggest step forward this season. PP1 should be all him as a trigger man (he has one of the hardest shots in the NHL), he has 20 goal upside this year with Barzal feeding him passes and no JT on the PP. He had more goals, shots, hits and blocks then Sergachev last year in 11 less games played. In your league set of categories Pulock gives you more categories. Also plus/minus next year should actually be level with Trotz instilling a better defensive game. Sergachev is obviously great though and younger so maybe you think his ceiling is higher long term.

Keep 13 players and 6 Farm players must be under 24 and played less then 100 NHL career games. If under 24 but played over 100 games they cannot stay on farm but do not have to be protected in off season.

Pulock still has Nick Leddy to contend with for PP1 duties. How confident are we that he takes that role?

Pulock certainly has a better chance of getting PP1 duties than Sergachev. The firepower up front for Tampa is the only thing that might give Sergachev the advantage. Flan's information above is pretty telling, though. Give me Pulock for his upside. They'll either be a wash, or Pulock will be superior. I don't see Sergachev outproducing him by a whole lot.

i think Sergachev's prduction will go down more if he stays and tampa and somehow they also get Karlsson than if he moved to Ottawa. If trade happens and he is still in Tampa his offensive opportunities will take big hit. If he moves to senators he will be the go to guy offensively on the blue line. i know they are horrible, but someone has to score there....

Multi-cat I think I just may lean towards Pulock. He’ll see more minutes than Sergachev who is buried on the TB blue line.

with hits blocks this becomes a lot closer. Owning a 40+pt Dman that gives big multicat periphs counts huge compared to a 50-55pt Dman who doesn't. There's a reason Risto holds as much value as he does in MC leagues.

In a trade, If I own Pulock, I still make the deal 1-1 having said that. If I own Sergachev, I'm asking for a nice add to Pulock.

I really think this will be closer than some think.

This. I truly believe Pulock will out point Sergachev for the next 2 years. After that, they will be close.

Overall Pulock is a better Power Play guy than Leddy. Leddy is a great skater but doesn't have the offensive vision that Pulock does.

    I'm quite confident he will.
