The initial hit was clean... but Chara followed up with pushing Pacioretty's head into the turnbuckle. Practising for his Pro Wrestling career maybe. Definitely intentional.

Most experts/media people are agreeing that this is an unfortunate but not dirty hit. Chara also said that Pacioretty might have jumped into the glass after he hit him.
EDIT: Might be a misquote by a French reporter or something, because another quote says Pacioretty LEANED into the glassed while Chara was hitting him.

I'm having the opposite experience. Seeing it live, I was screaming bloody murder. The more I watch the replay, the more convinced I am it was just a stupid accident.
If Chara actually said that, then he is a bit of a douche after all. As mentioned, I think it's an accident. But claiming Pac "jumped" into the glass! WTF?

I don't think it's worth a suspension at all. Unfortunate yes, but I do not see Chara purposely putting MaxPac into the stantion.

Yeah, that was pretty dirty. On one hand, Pac was asking for it by being a dick last time out. On the other, Chara's got to smarten the hell up. It's not like he doesn't know he's a giant on skates. What did he think would happen? Ouch.
