So any of the Schneider is done posters care to comment about his amazing performance vs the Islanders last night ?

    He looked great !

Grab him if he is available
Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.

Yet he still has not won an NHL game since December 2017!

Does that count as an NHL shutout or does it go on his AHL stats?

Ottawa's lineup have combined for 98 goals this season. Their team has 186 so far this season so that 47% of their goals scored this year were by players who were not in the lineup tonight.

    Good question

Lets see how his numbers look at the end of the season

Of course one COULD argue that the Devils are a pretty lousy team too right ?

Watched Cory's last game vs NYR

NJ Missing Lovejoy, Taylor Hall and Sami Vatanen
NY missing Hayes, Zuc & McQuaid

Schneider looked very solid. In position, great angles.
He is clearly off his game when it comes to rebound control

A little tarnish on his game is my opinion

I grabbed him in my sim league and cannot wait for the new and improved Cory !

Devils continue to be a little ahead of the curve.
Nice underrated hiring of a solid analytics expert, Matt Cane, today.

This is an interesting post. I have seen a handful of combos of devils lines. I’ll have to read the article to see the logic.

Most thrown out their lines I’ve seen have

    Hall-Hischier-bratt
    Boqvist/Zacha-Hughes-palms
    Zacha-Zajac-Coleman
    Wood-Rooney-Simmonds

Boqvist seems to be the biggest question mark if he would make the team or not. If they want him on 2nd line or start on 4th.

Simmonds I know making 5m doesn’t make sense on 4th line but he is an expensive depth player that can move up and play pp if needed.

Zacha is the wild card. Put with line 3 and it becomes a big shutdown line with some scoring ability. Or put him on line two with Hughes and see if any connection happens and they spark the offense for the former 6th overall. OR he could be out on the 4th line center roll for all we know.

What are Devils fans thoughts on Palmieri this season, and his offensive outlook with Hughes, Subban, and Simmonds in the mix potentially for PP1 minutes?

Some saying he will get bumped to PP2 already in favor of Hughes and Simmonds but not sure I believe that will happen.

So many changes for the devils this year who knows.

I see top unit ultimately being: hall, Hughes, Hischier, palms, Subban. Yes players will get shifted at different times but palms has such a big blast and he Is just all over the place fighting for the puck I like him on top unit.

Then on EV playing 2nd or 1st line doesn’t matter anymore. I actually like him better with Hughes than hall-Hischier
