Hey guys what are your thoughts on James Reimer. What's his value like do you guys think for the remainder of the season?

I recently traded Dustin Brown and Kari Lehtonen for Ilya Kovalchuk and Reimer was the throw-in to even out the rosters. I was planning on trying to flip Reimer but right now I've got no takers (for obvious reasons)

Do you think Reimer is capable of going on a run in the second half or do you think Toronto is firmly behind team Monster now? Seems like every start Gustavsson gets he wins more and more people over. I don't want to straight drop Reimer if he might have some value later on as there are a few teams in the league that could use another starter, but if I have to wait for another month to see any value at all then I might just cut bait and grab another skater.

To be completely honest Reimer has not looked good since his "concussion". He doesn't have the confidence he had last season and he's fighting pucks and not working hard enough in the crease to make those tough saves. Monster had looked really good lately until those B2B losses on the weekend, because of that slip I think they will give Reimer starts for the next little while. Having said that I don't think the leafs can ride either right now and I think the starts will flip flop to a certain degree until one of them gets hot and gets some confidence going. At the end of the day Reimer is still number one on the depth chart in Burkes office in my opinion and if everything is equal he gets the lions share of the starts.

So my advice wait it out till The all star break and go from there.

I think it's going to be win or you're out kind of thing for the next little while. Margin for error isn't that big right now.

Nice to see them win. Although I feel so bad for Gustavsson with that ******ed goal. Really. That was just... weird.

Weird how splitting Lupul and Kessel actually looked to be paying off.

Oh, and Bozak is better then Connolly when you look at who fits best on the Lupul - person - Kessel line. He just plays a game that compliments them more I find.

And the refs made a bunch of stupid calls. But most if not all favored the Leafs. Weird night o.O

I wish I could. That would mean I watched it. :/

I hate Leafs TV/Sportsnet blacking out Leaf games in OTT. Just hate it. And I just don't have the spare time to stream it and not spend time distracted on my computer at the same time.

But it looks like the Leafs sure put on a thiller - by that I mean turnovers, last minute goal to tie it against, then an OT win and a explosion of a night for Grabovski.

As per a few places (TSN, some tweets you can find in the general hockey section topic about this), Liles has been extended.

Four years is the word right now, no cap number as of yet. Hope he doesn't get a crazy raise (5.5+). If he stays in that 4.0~4.5 range he'll be like another, more efficient Kaberle while the Blacker's, Gardiner's and Percy's develop.

Also, our PP without him just doesn't exist at this point...

And a huge part of our now-extinct because he was gone too long PP. I've watched a few games and the PP of late looks nothing like the PP when I watched earlier in the year.

Plus the cap hit is at 3.875. Can't complain with a puck moving defenseman good for 40-50 points at that cap hit. And he's still 31/32, so a few prime years left at that. And he's an amazing community guy.
