I'm always a fan of switching things around.

82 games is a long season and some change mid season is always good imo

When Nylander got switched to the marner/Tavares line it really showed. You've never seen Marner/Nylander at even strength together. Very very rare.

I think all lines played good. The whole team was skating and drew a lot of penalties.

Temporary line shuffle. I'm a fan.

That right there is how you lose first round playoff series. They eeked out a win against Anaheim.

Yeap. You make the best 2 lines who get heavy minutes, a 4th line that can survive, and try to scrape together a 3rd line that is either a defensive stopper line or an offensive, sheltered-minutes line. I HATE when coaches go with the balanced lines approach unless its on a team I dislike.

Balancing the lines in the future might be a benefit so they don't overtax the top guys when they play like 50games in 100nights

Ya lol, so much for managing minutes.
    Marner - 23:16
    Matthews - 21:40
    Nylander - 18:20
Tavares - 16:53 - I don't think this was managing minutes, it was Matthews was just dominating.

i dont believe in spreading it out. im glad it worked out the way it did from a fantasy point of view.

i have matthews in one league and my opponent has marner and we are both chasing the title. despite competing against one another, we both agreed splitting them up was stupid lol. cant teach chemistry, sometimes stars playing together just wins games you didnt really deserve to win
One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.

If anything it gave a jolt to the offense once they got back together.

Leafs are on pace for a franchise record of 119pts. 56.6-19.5-5.9 (119.1pts). They would remain at 2nd in their division 3rd overall and face the TBL (118pts) in the 1st round with home ice which would be TBL 2nd best point total in their franchise history.

Nothing matters in the regular season for this team anymore. This year, assuming healthy roster there is no excuse.

Oh yeah it's really nothing, but wow the strength of the top of that Atlantic division is nuts. How does a 100+yr old team setting a franchise record line up to face the b2b stanley cup winner lol.
