Ho-Sang and Gusev released from their PTO's, Marlies sign Ho-Sang to a 1yr AHL deal.

Solid move by the Marlies/Leafs. Ho-Sang has looked really good, but it's also in the pre-season so the AHL is perfect for him.

really couldnt ask for a better place for ho-sangs career path at this moment .

a lot of eyes on him in the hockey world now that he's just a commute away from pro scouting him

Marlies have always touted as the NHL's unofficial additional team due to their facilities being top notch, being in a legit city and not like Rochester, and their staff are NHL level guys. It's quite the flex for the organization.

This is true... i just wish it resulted in churning out more prospects into legit NHL'ers who reach their potential.

A new philosophy on goalies - goalie coach/scout(s) might be necessary. We can't develop a Goalie to save a life.

I think the Marlies have churned out some good NHLers.
Nylander, Brooks, Holl, Dermott, Sandin, Johnsson, Kapanen, Kadri, Carrick, Trevor Moore, Connor Brown, Engvall, Hyman.

Good mix of high picks and low picks in there. Leafs can't develop a goalie to save their life tho. The top 3 goalies all time in games played for the Marlies is Pogge (142), Sparks (121), and Bibeau (104). Reimer is prolly the only goalie that came out of the Marlies system to have success.

Mikeyev out for about 8 weeks and AM will miss first 3 games to continue healing his wrist.

Marner got into a collision with Simmonds at practice, stayed on for a minute then went up to Keefe talked for a sec then left. He'll be re-evaluated tmo.

Spezza didn't seem to worried about Marner. I haven't seen the collision, but remember the Toronto Media can definitely be pumping this up way more than it should be.
