    A real good reason.

    Holl >> Dermott
    as it stands today.
Agree, Holl is dependable and proven while Dermott has lots to prove still.

I like George Rusic saying that McCann will fit right in as a Leaf because he has 0 goals in 12 playoff games lol.

I think this pushes Leafs to go 7/3 protection now

There's also Kerfoot and McCann. I think Seattle's pick from the Leafs will be kept to the end and how Seattle's team is looking will influence who they pick.

be interesting to see what happens if they take Dermott. It would mean they are stuck with 2 3rd liners average around 3.25 mil a year on top of all other salary cap mess.

A couple interesting things I've read about the Leafs in the last little bit.

    - Potential Seattle selecting Holtby from Van - retaining 50% salary & flipping to Tor as Campbell's back up.
    - Kuemper & Garland in a larger deal to Tor, but expect Amirov & Sandin or Liljigren to go the other way as part of a package
    - Leafs in general are showing lots of interest in Kuemper
    - Showing interest in Oleksiak as a UFA signing - please let this be true. He's a late bloomer, but he can do it all. Would essentially give the Leafs two Muzzin's and 5D worthy of top-4min.

Wow. I’m just glad it’s not the Flames doing this. How asinine.

Edmonton needs to try and win now with McDavid. I don't think they really care what that contract looks like on years 7-8.

Seriously, how are the Leafs NOT the biggest winners (besides Vegas) from the expansion draft? They lost Filip Hallander instead of Kerfoot, when all was done. Massive “win” for Kyle Dubas.

12-team, H2H. Keep 12, but drop 2 of top four skaters, and also 2 of next six, then five more (from end-of-year rankings). One GK max.

Everyone was afraid to lose someone for nothing and hurt their team in the process. If you add more depth, they still only get to pick one of your guys.

Pittsburgh didn't want to lose McCann for nothing, and then they lost Tanev for nothing.
