Without a healthy Andersen, Leafs don't possess a goalie that can completely steal a series. This has to also do with the overall talent around them. If the Leafs win, there's a very low chance they win 1-0 or 2-1 and the offense not generating a lot of offense. The offense likely won't be stalled out if they win.

Goalies in the North tho:
Helly, Allen/Price, Markstrom, Smith/Koskinen, Demko/Holtby, Ottawa's goalies.

Leafs will possibly go up against 2 of Helly, Smith/Koskinen, and Vanouver/MTL's goalies. Helly can win a series single handed. Smith can steal a series and no one would be surprised, Demko and Price can steal a series and no one would be surprised. Leafs will always

Leafs goaltending doesn't need to be 1GAA for 7 games to win a series, the bar is much lower for Campbell+Company just because the pressure is on the forwards to win.

Honestly, the Leafs issues to perform in the playoffs are between the ears. Simple as that, we can critique here and there, but it's all mental. Leafs have the talent, it's if they can do it.

All I know is the North Division playoffs can be very exciting with Jets, Leafs, Oilers, and one of MTL and Vancouver (slim shot for Calgary)

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, the cap situation to bring Freddie off LTIR will be interesting to watch. Toronto doesn't have the cap space to bring him off LTIR.

Lehner went on an AHL conditioning stint this yr before being officially removed from LTIR, so I'm surprised there isn't clarity on if Andersen can go to the AHL on a conditioning stint and not count against the cap.

My fave part of all this is Andersen "confirming" it was an injury that was around the knee that hurt when he pushed or tried to stop...Sooooo the knee? lol

Sens win in regulation
Oilers-Jets game ends in regulation

Or

Leafs win in regulation
Ottawa wins in regulation

Leafs pay the leagues debts.

Don Cherry on his PodCast said the Leafs won't go anywhere in the playoffs because the Bruins had 50 hits in a game, and the Leafs don't hit enough. To show how out to lunch he is, he called Jack Campbell cocky.

Ok I can understand the Bruins comment but Campbell being cocky? He's such a humble guy and grateful to be on the Leafs. He's way off there plus it doesn't really matter how many hits the Bruins dish out in a game, they might not even meet the Leafs in the playoffs. Just sour grapes.

My thoughts when he said 50hits was, man the Bruins didn't have the puck a lot that game! If you have high hit numbers, I usually think you don't have possession.
