I though that was pretty cool but I'm sure someone can find a way to crap all over it.

Very cool. I wonder if he'll also pay for a new team logo, once he's traded...

Ppl on Twitter find it "disrespectful" that Nylander would wear 88 as it was Lindros number...who played 33games for the Leafs...for friggs sake. Some ppl are idiots

I don't think he'll wear it but I'm still hoping Mikheyev continues to use 66 just so I can watch people lose their minds over it.

Oh my God, yes please, make this happen. I can just imagine the hilarious outrage.

Imagine getting legit upset over a hockey player's jersey number?

Exactly, I think Max Domi should switch to #10 next season and beyond. He's a better player than that guy anyway.

Didn’t we already trot this righteous indignation out when Ho Sang wore 66 to start the season last year? Serious panty wadding going on.

Bryzgalov was right. There are more important issues in the universe.

Totally. Why can’t we get that guy on TV as a commentator? I’d much rather listen to him than Mike Milburry, Jeremy Roenick, or friggin Pierre McGuire.

I don't understand the point of the Bryzgalov quote. That remark can apply to, well, every single post that has ever been written in this forum.
So the message behind it completely escapes me. #completelyConfused

There was a small handful of people that didn’t like the number switch but of course it is Toronto so it’s gets blown up and made into a story. Almost every Leaf fan welcomes the switch. It’ll be a fresh start for Willy after such a horrible season last year and the gesture of paying for the number switch for people with 29 jerseys will get fans back on his side after that contract debacle. Good move by Nylander here.

Leafs signed Michal Neuvirth to a PTO.

Battle for Andersen’s backup now between Neuvirth, Hutchinson and Sparks. I’d rank them in that order of likeliness to win the job.

Neuvirth seems like the best option from that group, but his groins are so wonky at this point. Hopefully he will be okay in a situation where he's only expected for about 20 starts.
