Maybe on a one-year deal, but definitely not long term.
And if I'm Gardiner with that back issue, I live with a lower pay but find some term. If Jack Johnson can get $3M x 5ys, Gardiner can get 5M x 6yrs easy.

It's amazing how well marincin can skate and play in the NHL as a blind, physically disabled man. It's honestly unbelieva- wait, he has nothing physically wrong with him? Oh my god

    Muzzin was terrible tonight.
No one ever taught Sparks how to poke check.
Marincin should be playing in a beer league.
I hate the term ‘trap game’ but this was one of them, no doubt.

Muzzin got laid out in the 1st behind the net, and was off since then.

Unlike Leaf fans at least the Isles fans wait till one of their guys is gone before they boo him

What I don’t understand is why we continue to see Marincin given chances by the team. Kyle Dubas is supposed to be this great evaluator of talent yet he somehow believes Marincin is apart of our “defensive depth”. Hopefully last night was the final straw. Holl played really well but I bet Babcock scratches him. Same old story.

Marincin was doing REALLY well with the Marlies apparently.

I figured it out last night why I could never figure out what Marincin "IS". He has no endurance. He was steady, good stick, physical, and took correct routes for the first period. 2nd period...oh my. All his bad plays were very similar to when my legs are gone in hockey but I'm pushing through it. Wrong routes, lazy spins instead of staying with his guy, not physical infront of the net, being bumped and falling down.

    He's got poor endurance.

Rosen, Borgman, Gardiner, Dermott are all injured... there's basically no one else. Neither Sandin/Liljigren are ready. In a B2B when Holl/Ozhi haven't played much lately, fresh legs would seem like a good idea.

Babs always talks about Marincin's confidence as his problem... maybe it's more conditioning.. He gets bagged too easy, makes careless mistakes, then gets down on himself and just starts getting beat on plays a period before he shut down.

I think we need a GM to do something stupid and waive a solid 3rd line Dman.

Petan making his Leafs debut tonight is something I’m looking forward to but at the expense of Ennis coming out is the wrong decision.

Marincin-Ozhiganov bottom pairing is terrifying and makes no sense. Holl coming out is a classic Babcock head scratcher.

Regardless, Leafs need to dominate this entire game. They are a much better team with or without the current injuries and Buffalo is coming off an overtime game last night. No excuses.
