Right decision in my opinion going with Sparks over McEhlinney. I expect both of McEhlinney and Pickard to clear waivers but I think we lose Carrick. Decent piece for a rebuilding team like Ottawa, Montreal or Vancouver.

If Vancouver doesn't nab him I will be very very disappointed.

Funny that Carrick was dealt for a 7th Round pick because I was going to mention in an earlier post that I was surprised Dubas couldn?t squeeze a 7th Rounder out of anyone. Surprised it was to Dallas of all teams. I hope Carrick likes Iowa. Or is it the Texas Stars now? I can?t keep up with the AHL affiliate relocations.

Condition: If Carrick plays in at least 50 games the 2018-19 season, Leafs will receive a 6th round pick in 2019 instead.

Well Flyers made the playoffs last yr so Pickard likely ALMOST made it through.

McElhinney prolly would have then been claimed by Flyers if he made it to them.

I had the same thought about McEhlinney once Darling returns from injury.
