Some bounces go the right way (Vanek post and then Larkin hitting the post right after) and no one questions the goaltending anymore.

FWIW I thought that wasn't a goal, the one where Freddy reached back. They're so strict on the "We can't infer on goals. Yes we know the puck is under his pad, and his pad is in the net but we can't see it. Oh on that goal, the pucks on edge so no piece of the puck is on the goal line. But we can't see that from one angle. Goal".

How the NHL doesn't have a camera in the posts is beyond me.

I agree, that should not have me called a goal. The call on the ice was no goal and the close up reply didn?t show any white ice between the puck and goal line. Terrible call by the NHL there.

I must have saw it wrong, but did the ref look at it on the tablet? Was he making the no goal/goal call in house? Doesn't that stuff go to Toronto typically?

Now yes it is a goal, but did they change the "you can't infer" BS that they always sat behind when a goalie caught the puck behind the line kind of save? Cause if you wanted to nit-pick you would say "well you can't see the whole puck so how do they know?".

I hated that years ago, I'm all for making judgements through replay. Like, "We know the puck is there with these 3 angles." should be used.

They should just have lasers set up on the goal line that picks up the rubber of the puck to definitively determine if the entire puck has crossed the line. Musk has some newly found free time on his hands after being removed from Tesla's BOG... give him something to do.

If soccer can do it, hockey should be able too.

I agree, but NHL always seems evolving at slow motion (coach's challenge is used only for few years)

When the Leafs go on the Powerplay it should be the Undertaker Theme Song or the Marvel Intense Song starting at the 1:30min mark. Or a heart beat just getting faster and faster then starting some crazy like EDM nsss nsss nsss BS they typically play.

Seriously. The more the season goes on, their powerplay will either strike fear into the souls of their opponents meaning teams won't take penalties, but opening up opportunities 5-on-5, orrrr the Leafs will just get more PP time.
