He's been skating everyday since, but didn't join the Leafs on the road trip, so I'd say there's a high chance of that.

While Matthews will watch again on Wednesday, forward Andreas Johnsson will make his National Hockey League debut on the Leafs? fourth line, playing the left wing with centre Tomas Plekanec and Kasperi Kapanen.
Let's see what he can do with the big boys!

Oh man... I'm excited to see this.

Is Rosen just a pre-emptive call up due to Dermott getting sick? There's no room for him to stay up is there?

Love seeing Johnsson projected on the 2nd PP unit as well on LWL and DFO

Harling has it pretty much summarized here. Looks intriguing to say the least.

    Wasn't Zetterberg a 6th or 7th Rounder too?

Thanks Dennis. I'll hold off on my own pre-emptive "Call UP" or acquisition.

He's much too good for the AHL but is stuck behind a boat load of Talented wingers in Toronto. He will compete for JVR's spot next year with Kapanen, but don't be surprised if Toronto really goes for it next year and signs a less expensive FA rental in July to replace JVR.

Perhaps... but they may actually be looking for replacements for JVR, Bozak and Komarov. There will be room if he can prove he deserves it. I don't see it as Kapanen OR Johnsson... we'll see both (if they earn it). The cheap FA add will be a C likely. Not sure if Aaltonen will crack it.

Im just not sure management will want to see all of those veterans go without replacing them with more veterens. Stepping into their shoes it would be hard to think that they would see themselves as better cup contenders with a younger more inexperienced line up. That's why I think it may be one of the two and not both, and Kapanen will be picked due to his penalty killing abilities

I fell asleep during the game but liked what little I saw in Johnsson. Babcock could've been more impressed apparently.

Johnsson sits tonight as Martin draws back in for Leafs

This likely has little to do with Babcock not liking his play. I think Martin coming back in is meant to be some insurance against Buffalo who were a little teste last time the two played. Buffalo is not playing for anything right now, and seem to hate the Leafs.

Pick your poison. Doesn't matter to me who they play as the 1st 2 rounds go through them for the Leafs I think. But, it would be fun seeing TBL vs Florida so it would be in the first round:

    1v8
    TBL vs Florida

    2v7
    Pitts vs Philly

    3v6
    Boston vs Toronto

    4v5
    Caps vs CBJ
