She completed her schooling at the University of Calgary in 2019/2020 (can't remember), and started a residency in Toronto. So she has the Doctor title and she's a resident physician. I'd assume it's part time on both.

She's talked about her residency somewhat in 2022, so she was doing both player development and residency at one point.

Gotcha. It was a serious question by the way, in case you were wondering. I do wonder how she can commit to both jobs. You'd think at some point she's going to have to make decision on a full time career. I also wonder why the Leafs would want her on staff if she can't (or won't) commit full time.

Its possible to do both, it just takes concessions from all parties involved mostly on timing.

I imagine when Dr. Wickenheiser finishes her residency itll be much easier to manage her schedule as a doctor whether thats as a part-time GP, research doctor and etc.

I'd assume the time commitment was discussed when she was first hired on as a player development coach, and at each promotion it was a test if she can handle both commitments.

pretty freaking nuts someone can do both tho. That is some drive and intelligence.

I guess Dubas and Keefe are all in with this move. Murray is “their guy”.

    I'd rather have:

    Kuemper
    Campbell
    Samsonov
    Talbot
    Varly
    A cat
    Any ref or linesman
    Marty Biron
    Mike Smith

Need I go on? This gives me Mrazek vibes. And he will regret this move.

5.5/10, could move to 6/10 depending on what Campbell/Kuemper sign for.

I think P7 had it right with the draft day trade that Murray blocked involving the 7th overall pick. Ottawa knew it would be blocked by Murray, and it was just a public showing.

Steve Dangle doesn't like the trade, so it must be an alright trade.

I don't love it but I don't hate it either.

Practically he's the best available option and has the potential for big upside if he can just stay healthy.

No shit I'd rather have Soup, but it was clear we couldn't afford him from the get go. We can't afford Kuemper either.

So this is the next best thing that keeps us competitive while our window is still open.
