Some stat came out about how much the games without fans/concessions is costing teams and I'm shocked actually at the amount.
Leafs is like 2-3mill/game lost
MTL is 2.1mill/game lost
Part of the rescheduling decision has been based around Wednesday night hockey being primetime hockey. So the league have left some of the Wednesday night games because it's "Prime Time" and not because of they feel it's safe. I'm sure at a point they could make the decision it's not worth it, but Wednesday hockey is likely a safe play for a few weeks.

Those two teams in particular have to be among the top money makers in the league by a long shot. Losing out on that for a couple of games each would do quit a bit of damage to revenue sharing and the goal of increasing the salary cap ASAP.

It's stuff between the ears. Does well then completely misses something that ends up as a goal against. Or plays hard then takes a dumb penalty. Then he plays soft and then he's pointless in the lineup because he's paid to be tough.
I however think it's not the end of Ritchie as a Leaf. I doubt he's claimed. And unless this is a move to void his deal to go play for Canada, but that's crazy bold of him as he'd be giving away a very good deal he's got right now.
Gives the team like $1mill in cap space, he gets to go to the Taxi-squad or minors. I don't think it's as big of a deal as it's being reported as.

Team I think is in need of a bit of a shake up. And I like the idea of trying this out now, so it's not untested if you need to do this in crunch time. Keefe said he wanted to do this all yr, but they were never healthy enough for it. This is kind of what Pitts did with Kessel, Crosby and Malkin. 1 line shoooulllddd dominate their competition.
You separate Matthews, Marner, and Nylander, but one of them is still tied with JT.

The Marner/Tavares line generated some sustained pressure in the 3rd. That's it. I've always hated this water down everything to spread the scoring around crap. It doesn't work.
