They ended up with dubnyk as we know. I am curious if they make another small signing like the soderberg deal for chicago as they could use more depth. There's some good names left but only 2 mil in capspace. I think they stan pat, but who knows these days.

My guess lately has been them signing Athanasiou for $1M or so. I think they'll add someone ot at least hand out a PTO ot two.

Do the Sharks have a longterm solution between the pipes?? I feel like Nabakov was the last homegrown goalie they had that was ever any good in SAN JOSE!!

Kipper would have been another had he stayed!!

Right now, the guy in the system who looks like the longer term solution is Melnichuk.

Melnichuk isn't even on the Dobber Prospect page for the Sharks...
On the Dobber prospects page the highest NHL certainty is 5.7 of any of the goalies.

So I went and looked and it looks like it was last updated in 2018.
However Wiesblatt and Bodelau are on there... so I am confused

Which thoroughly explains the Old Mother Hubbard picture.

Melnichuk is indeed the guy you want in San Jose. He might be their best goalie right now.

I didn't realize how stale those pages are.

Big congrats to Patrick Marleau. Not just longevity but he rarely missed a game.

But.... Wish he called it. He would have been fine being 2nd or 3rd on this list. He's clearly done and only playing for the record.
