if by chance the formatting is off - for me there seems to be some unnecessary white lines in the chart - drop me a line!

I'm confused about the Tier1/2/3 thing... where exactly are these guys categorized by tiers?

The PG Tier system is an underlying formula, not like Dobber's Tender Tiers.

It based on each roto tier (color codes) they are placed in (based on achievements, pace, potential etc...).

** The following is just an example **

Take LW Dustin Brown - he's ranked 32.

He has Tier 2's across the board that equals :
    20 G, 40 A, plus-10, 60 PIM, 20 PPP, 200 SOG

In this case you can do (tier) 2 x 6 (roto cats) = 12.

Then you add the fact that he's on a strong team and a LW (among other influences), he gets a bonus point.

So Brown has a PG Roto Score of 13.

It's not a perfect system, but I've grown to like it.

Note that some players may have higher roto scores but their value (or current season pace) is ice cold.

    Wow. Just wow. Great stuff!

My only issue so far with the file (resolution issues? - 14 inch notebook) is that the column titles for the categories in the top 100 look weird (and are not there at all on the first page with the elite guys) Perhaps it's more of a case of information overload though.

Very solid stuff. Obviously a lot of work went into this and it shows.

A couple of minor quibbles. Bogosian's minus-15 is listed as 2nd in the league for defence plus/minus. And why is there a picture of Martin Havlat lookin' all greased up for the All-star game in the section talking about Brent Burns? Get Havlat the hell out of there, he just rubs me the wrong way. No one should be so comfortable rocking the greasy homeless look as he is.

Regarding the missing titles on the top 10, it would have pushed the 10th player onto the second page, so I figured the legend was sufficient to keep the 10 together. As for the resolution issues, can you take a screenshot of what you see and send it to me? My email is in the document.

LOL, Havlat is my bad - totally supposed to be Brent Burns. I don't know how that got passed me (Actually I do - I'm the one who put it there). Terrible, but hilarious

Bogosian's plus minus is nothing special this year - you are definitely right here. Bogo was a unique case but his future is bright for ROTO leagues. He shoots a tonne, scores goals and racks up good PIM numbers. The +/- stat is something Gates and I discussed quite a bit and we usually end each conversation agreeing that it's pretty arbitrary. Considering Bogo is so young, he has lots of time to improve that +/- and that is why we listed him in the Rebuild section.

Thanks for all of the great comments.

I agree with everything you are saying and I wasn't disagreeing with Bogosian's inclusion at all, it's just when you listed his stats for this season you literally put "+/- : -15 (2nd)". Minus-15 obviously isn't 2nd in the league so it's just a typo or oversight that I was pointing out, rather than having a fundamental issue with Bogosian or the +/- stat.

As much as I've been a nitpicker here, I like the feature and the "guide" feel to it with the 23-page PDF file. Also loving the feature that outlines why one player is ranked higher than another. The clarity of "why Player A and not Player B" adds a lot of credibility.
