Who would you choose: Tarasenko or Kuznetsov?

Long term it's so close that it could go either way. In those cases I look for another tiebreaker... and I feel that Tarasenko is a more valuable asset than Kuznetsov. He was drafted higher and casual poolies tend to hold that draft position in high regard.

So there's two ways you can tackle this: Either you grab/keep Tarasenko in case a major trade scenario comes up down the road and he can help you land a big fish, or you trade Tarasenko for Kuznetsov+ and cash in on his prospect value. I'm not sure which player you own or whatever, but that's how I feel about this situation.

Kuznetsov will be a bust..no question whatsoever in my eyes..has the type of skating ability nightmares are made out of. Tarasenko is good though great hands and high-end NHL calibur release..pretty solid skater and speed as well...not huge, but will be good and an impact player for St. Louis. I think some of the grittier guys like Backes etc..could open up alot of space for him out there to where he can really thrive in that setting...like him overwhelmingly better on every level over Kuznetsov

This question seems to pop up a lot and I will give the same answer. Tarasenko.

Take Kuznetsov for the upside (home run). Tarasenko for trade value (single).

I think both have a shot of being very good players. But if I had to choose one it would be Tarasenko, because by all indications, he is more of a complete player and very coachable. Both has wicked talent.

Tarasenko for me as well. He's really moving up my depth chart for next year's draft.

Not that affects your decisions but just read that Tarasenko suffered a season ending shoulder injury. Sucky.

As a Tarasenko owner, I hate to say it, but get used to some injuries with this kid. See the way he plays?! He is a rock who mixes a finesse game with plenty of grit. I just hope he is fit come September when Blues camp opens.

Kuznetsov stats in KHL 13-13-26 in 39 GP. Those are impressive #'s from that league for his age.

The WJs could have boosted Kuznetsovs confidence a ton. You take that kind of raw skill and package it with confidence and hard work and you end up with a gem.

Sadly, Tarasenko's numbers have regressed this year to 10-10-20 in 42GP as compared to his previous season where he posted 13-11-24 in 42GP. Would like to have seen him up his point totals this year, especially coming off of that stellar WJC showing. Hopefully the injury doesn't hamper his development and he's ready for camp next year.

Gotta like the progress seen from Kuznetsov though. He was just as impressive at the WJC as Tarasenko was IMO.
