He's the 2010-2011 version of Kurtis Foster. I'd play him over Salo and Bieksa for sure. He'll be huge on that PP.

Bergeron is living up to his "defensive liability" label tonight as he has a nice -4 rating.

lol..you beat me too it...there's a reason a dude with his offensive skill still has a hard time keeping an NHL job.

Really glad I picked him on both of my teams and got a nice -8 combined. And in watching the game, I was far from impressed by his play in the offensive zone. And only one more game this week, too. Brutal.

Chara is the D with the more PP goals since the lockout : 49.
    Bergeron has 40.
Chara played 441 games since then.
    Bergeron played 341.
If you look at the "PP goals per game" stat, Bergeron is leading the league since the lockout.

Call it a give and take. One night he's money, next night not so much. But the guy will come through, Boucher is too good of a coach to allow this to continue. I'm sure Yzerman and Boucher both had a hand in the decision to bring Bergeron in, so you know they're going to make it work. Also doesn't help that Roloson let in 5 in the 3rd. He was really off his game after that "trip" goal
