    Is he THAT bad defensively?

Maybe he was told to head for Tbay?

it is more than likely that he was a healthy scratch after playing 3 in 3 nights considering he major knee surgery, they probably wanted to see how it would react and didnt want to push him into 4 in 5 nights....although if that was me I would have sat him in the middle of the 3 pack and back at it last night....who knows....shouldnt be long now before a call up barring a knee setback.

D Marc-Andre Bergeron, who took a knee-on-knee hit during Sunday's game with Norfolk, suffered a bruise and is expected to be in the Admirals' lineup tonight. Yzerman said there was no structural damage in the knee, the same one Bergeron had surgery on last summer.

MAB was back in the lineup tonight for Norfolk and recorded a PPA on one of their 2 goals. He also recorded 4 SOG

He's got a Sheldon Souray shot and that is not an exaggeration. (On Long Island they had to tell him to stop intentionally shattering the glass at our practice facility because they were literally running out of replacement panes and he would just sit there after practice betting guys he could break glass.)

He's also about as bad as you'll ever see defensively. Worse on the point defending shorthanded chances than most forwards. Again, not an exageration.

His shot is amazing though especially for a guy that's not big. Just creates an incredible amount of torque on his shot.

It's not out of the question for him to score goals at a 25 goal pace the rest of the way operating in Tampa's powerplay.

Any more on this guy? I can't find anything and am getting tired of holding him on my roster....

I was about to dump for McBain last night but talked myself down from it...he needs to be given a shot but TB PP unit tends to trend more towards setting up Stamkos for the one-timer to where Bergeron's bomb from up top may end up being under-utilized...needs to be given at least 3 or 4 game worth so i'd hold on to him in the mean time

i've also been holding this guy forever since i didnt want anyone in my league to grab him before i had the chance. Clearly it's tough holding a guy on your team when it says NA next to his name but watch this and hopefully it will give you hope of what the future holds.

MAB played last night in Norfolks 2-1 loss. He didn't register on the scoresheet but his 4 SOG are definitely encouraging.

    Default M.A. Bergeron update?

Anyone know how he's doing in the AHL and when he's expected to get the call up to Tampa?

purely a guess, but after the all star break makes sense. A couple of days to practice with his new squad and he has enough games under his belt. Not like he is unfamiliar with this type of scenario and his knee seems to be fine.

Here's hoping. I dealt Lidstrom recently and could really use MAB

Following up on the last thread (good updates too guys!), I'd be looking to add Bergeron in most leagues. His +/- will likely be disasterous but Clark only has 2 points since December 28th and he was there go to guy before the announcement of the signing and for some reason it seems like its directly related...I dont know...oh and Kubina hasn't been faboulous on the PP by any means this season.
