Giroux for Lundqvist

I have been offered Lundqvist for my Giroux. Would you do this?

Started a 3 year rebuild midway through last season. Started this season at 3w-3l but not having a starting goaltender has hurt me big time. Record is now 3-8. League setup and roster are listed below.

With your season sort of dwindling already, I think you may be better off staying out and waiting for Rask to take the starting job in Boston. He's a good goalie and he'll get his shot there. I just don't see the value for your team in particular at this point.

this is a tuff call. i think wingers are very valuable here but then again you only play 6 and goalies you play only 1. i think like you are thinking that a top notch starter is very very big in your league. while you say you are in a semi rebuild getting lundy can push that rebuild closer to being done than futhur out. right now i dont see rask taking the starting job for another 2 seasons unless injury to thomas or one of them is traded.

so yeah while it sucks giving up giroux this might be a very smart move. think of the trade bait rask could fetch to land a top winger.

I moved Giroux for Luongo in one of my keepers, and I am quite happy about it.

Continue the rebuild. Does it matter if you are losing because of goaltending. How much better would you have done with goaltending? The matchups maybe closer.

You have Rask and he will be starting when your team is ready. So now way i trade Giroux.

To add: you are weak on D and you have backstrom is your best center after that not much. On wing your top 3 are good and a couple of others are still developing.

Getting Lundqvist will put you in the middle of the pack and you give up Giroux for it as well as draft spaces.

I would not be making the trade for the immediate results but figure I have some potential wingers that could help offset the loss of Giroux. This would also give me 2 solid keepers in a year or two and if Schnieder pans out I could move a keeper for another position.

What do you mean by more value?

Where are the potential wingers? Schroeder? Maclean?

Schneider pan out? Unles he is traded from Vancouver he is not panning out.

I think this trade will set you back. You don't want immediate results so why make it.

You could make this trade next year if you want to.
