Without salaries these two guys are really close and it's a coin flip between them. With salaries Hiller is much better choice.

    Lets go deeper into this.

    So far this year :

    Sal GP W SV% SHO

    Cam Ward
    6,300,000 24 12 .925 1

    Jonas Hiller
    4,500,000 28 14 .917 1

The difference in salary is 1.8M
They both won 50% of their games
    Ward has a SV% that's a little higher.
They both don't make a lot of Shut outs.

If we take a look at their teams, Anaheim is 4th in the West while Carolina is 9th. However, the Ducks have 5 more games played than most of teams, including the Canes.

Which team do you see as the better team in the future. The Canes have a good group of youth coming, while the Ducks have an already solid group established (Perry, Getzlaf, Ryan). They both lack defensive stability however (which could explain the lack of SHO).

My gut feeling tells me that Ward is the better goalie here. Maybe that's because he's won a stanley cup already... but he does have an higher salary...

I am actually in negotiations to get one or the other. Personally, I don't care which. AT this point, they are in my mind roughly equal.
    13 team Keeper, top 8F, 4D and 2G count. 1pt G/A, 2pt W/SO.

    (K) denotes keeper

    Keepers:

F: Draisaitl, Thompson, Thomas, Zuccarello, Konecny, Marchessault Ehlers, O'Reilly, Tarasenko, Perron, Coronato, Seguin, Atkinson, Rossi, Michkov
D: Q Fox, Sergachev, Dobson, York, Hutson
    G: Vasilevsky, Jarry, Levi
