How will waivers work for this guy since he's technically a UFA? I would have assumed he'd be free to sign with whoever he wants since he's not under contract in the NHL anymore. Does the team that claims him just get 1st dibs on signing him?

I heard un-sourced rumors that it has to do with his kid too... but I don't know if its true or not, just a rumor. I hear he may not be playing for anyone.

I doubt Tampa gets him, not if Nabakov makes it known he'll sign for considerably less than 5 Million. Even teams that don't need him would sign him just to trade him if the price was right.

I was in trade talks with someone last week discussing swapping Vokoun + one of my wingers for Stamkos, but I refused to do it because the league is really thin in goalies. I could really use Nabokov as trade bait, but he doesn't even exist in yahoo leagues yet lol
