Miller, as in Ryan Miller? He is available? Um, yeah, might want to go and grab him over Turco!

I wouldn´t take Aren Miller over Turco, but if it really is Ryan Miller, you should take him as soon as you can!

Did you forget to tell us about salary cap? This is about the only explanation I can think of in regard to why Miller would be on the waiver and still available. In salary cap, particularly with the $58M limit, Miller is an expensive pickup. However, he produces and hasn't been a band aid boy. Using the 20 point per $1.0M of cap space formula, Miller doesn't make ratio and Turco will (I think $1.8M). Picking him up would depend upon what other players you had to dump. There's still a good chance that you would pick him up if you can swap an expensive D-man or a lower scoring high priced forward.

If you have no salary cap, don't even think about it, grab him.

As in the #1 ranked goalie entering the '10-'11 season? Doesn't sound like your league is into that magnitude of a pick-up. Don't go pissing anybody off now!

JHM - this is a wonderful response - respectful, helpful, positive. Nothing arrogant or condescending in it. Pure class!

I'll second that. Didn't even think about salary cap considerations til JHM mentioned it.
