I wouldn\'t do it in my league but it depends on how badly you need a goalie or how much you can afford to give up a blue-chip d-man prospect.

Fleury is good but not that good. Fernandez and Jack Johnson for Fleury and a soso prospect would be fair.

Also depends what your league settings are.

Where will Manny land up this year? I am hearing that he\'s on his way to Boston...anyone else hearing that? He would be #1 goalie there I would think and he\'s bound to bounce back..tho Boston will have to get there D tuned up a little better! I think he was getting tired of Lemaire\'s act so he prolly can\'t wait for a trade.

Fernandez, Grabner and E or J Johnson for Fleury:

I think it is going to be a while before Grabner is a player. I expect that the Johnsons will be top end defenceman. I think that Fernandez is in the downside of his career.

Fleury: It isn\'t just about Fleury. It is also what is around him. The guy will consistently get 40 wins for the next several years.

You have to sort out what you want on your team. How many points does a goalie get for the win? Fleury will be huge in that regard.

In my mind, you are getting one of the top 5 goaltenders. I would try to expand the deal. Maybe offer up a higher quality forward in return for Fleury and a quality forward or defenceman.

i think going for fleury is wise , allthough you are giving up a very good future star either way.as was stated pitts is bound to be on the winning side more often than not and fleury has proven he will continue to improve and mature as time goes on.i\'d do it!

    I don\'t think it\'s a great move for you.

But if you can get another player with Fleury for Fernandez, Grabner and Jack Johnson you might consider doing this trade. Maybe you can get a player who had a bad year, but can bounce back next year. I would try to work this way because Fleury can be your starting goaltender for years to come.

Work on this deal because right now you lose more than you win.

I would strongly ask you to forget about this deal.Don\'t trade a JOHNSON.
