Most SOG (25) in a single period for the Red Wings since 2010 (their record is 29).

Good sign - team is heading back in the right direction. Going to be an exciting season and extremely bright future ahead.

Jakub Vrana has been taken off the Red Wings roster on their website. Has been out for “personal reasons” the past several days.

Really hope everything with JV is okay obviously but this feels super strange…

Could just be something automated with their website that doesn't account for a player granted a leave of absence or something like that, but it's definitely odd. I was hoping it would have been cleared up by now but I haven't seen any updates yet.

News: NHL and NHLPA announce that Jakub Vrana of the @DetroitRedWings will be unavailable for an indefinite period while he receives care from their player assistance program.

Vrana will still be paid and can return when cleared by program administrators.

    Yikes, hope he is alright.

it would greatly help my fantasy team if David Perron plays LW for a few games since Vrana and Bertuzzi are unavailable so he gets LW eligibility

What a win by this team last night. When Stamkos made it 2-1 I was certain it was going to OT...

It's been a while since they've beaten a "good" team so this was really nice to see.

Berggren is not going anywhere. 2 goals and 5 assists in 11 games, playing under 13 minutes a night. I think Soderblom heads to the AHL once he is healthy.

Jakub Vrana has rejoined #RedWings for practice. Was in NHL NHLPA players assistance program since first week of season. He’s wearing blue non contact jersey.

Love to see it. Hope everything is ok on his end.

For the Wings.. They're definitely hitting a wall so the sooner he and Bertuzzi are back the better.

Perron seems to have hit a wall. With the emergence of Berggren + Bertuzzi and Fabbri returning, is it looking bleak for him fantasy wise?
I can't wait too much longer for a turnaround. Any Wings fan opinion / assessment would be appreciated!

Detroits next 2 are biggggg. Then they get a nice B2B vs Ottawa (with no travel) and to finish off the pre-trade deadline vs Seattle. This is a big 7 days for the team as it should determine what they do with guys like Bertuzzi, Suter, Sundqvist, Kubalik, and most importantly Larkin.

I hope Detroit pushes for a playoff spot, but for the trade deadline I want the chaos.

Ya im pretty terrified right now.

I obviously don't think they're Cup contenders but having this group make the playoffs would be huge. Losing Bertuzzi and/or Larkin for nothing would be worse though.

I would be shocked if Larkin wasn't in Michigan next yr, but if Detroit trades him, one of their big negotiation tickets of an 8th yr is gone.

But man, Michigan born, Michigan minor team, Univ of Michigan, Michigan NHL team... Would be really surprised if he's gone.
