I haven't seen Faber play much but it would take a LOT of convincing to have me be of the opinion that he is as good as Seider, let alone better. Seider is a fantastic all-around d-man, I think his offensive ceiling is higher than Faber's by a fair bit and his defensive and physical play is excellent. I could see Buium and ASP around the same level offensively down the line but not sure Buium will ever bring the same defensive play as Seider.

Kane looked great last night - most of the team did as well. I've liked Kaspar so far, he is quick and tenacious in the offensive zone. The score was exceedingly kind to Chicago; the Wings dominated the vast majority of that game and could have had a few more goals if they had buried a couple of close chances.

    Eight straight would be ideal.
One more to go for 8. Shows how far back they were and how hard it is to gain ground. Although I guess CBJ and Montreal have been tearing it up recently.

All good things must come to an end but man, not getting the wins against non-playoff-bound teams is a killer and can really come back to bite down the stretch. 2 giveaways by Holl leading to goals (the second one was particularly egregious) was painful to watch. Here's hoping they can shake it off and bounce back for the next one.

Yep Husso didn't help either. Could have really used Lyon.

They need 2 of 3 vs these powerhouses.

I am loving Marco Kasper. Nice to see him get the line 1 bump under McClelland and he's really making great plays night in night out.

11 points in his last 10. But it's the all around effort I love.

I've been really enjoying watching him as well! Very nice to have a coach who is giving the skilled kids a chance over fading veterans. Soderblom has looked good too.

Love the Albert Johansson usage too.

    Keep the fight going.

    13-4-1 under McClellan is crazy.

Pretty amazing turnaround, with young guys coming in and producing. D William Wallinder might be brought up soon too.

    That is awesome.
Would love to see them at least get into the playoffs.
Even if they're a first round exit or perhaps a surprise run.
But I also would like to see them keep acquiring long-term assets, picks, youth, etc.

What a ride. Now only 1 game before the break so will be sad to watch them get passed over the next few days.

The coaching change has been a huge positive, the goaltending has been good and the youngsters are playing really well. Feeling optimistic that they can continue this past the 4 Nations break.

Will be a nice break for Seider that's for sure.
