I’d have to think they’d have to have a wait period otherwise players would just go back and forth.

It was only a matter of time. Not sure why they didn't do it last year.

Love this! Perfect choice and he's gonna do great things and this team is going to be revived.

I am a HUGE fan of Dylan Larkin and the way he plays the game. This was an easy and obvious choice and I think the team is better for finally making this reality.

I know Detroit is not a good team, but this is a "turning the corner" yr for Detroit. First "real" yr of Yzerman at the helm (April 2019 start date), last yr was the toss away yr and now people are looking for improvement.

2019-2020 season you were given Yzerman as the talking point. (2020)-21 season you're given Larkin as the talking point.

The only thing I can see why they didn't do it last yr. Also Larkin is only 24 right now. A 23yr old captain is a lot for a kid to handle when you know your team will rack up losses.

Definitely a turn the corner year, but also a year in which Im sure they'll do a lot of deadline selling again. I said it in another thread but even with their offseason improvements, they were still 23 points behind Ottawa last year. They were monumentally bad. So I'll be disappointed if they don't finish last again. Although maybe I should hope for somewhere in the 2-4 range given their terrible lottery luck.

They already have three 2nds and two 3rds. I doubt they can add a 1st but with Staal, Ryan, Helm, Filppula and Merrill all UFAs, hopefully they can add some more mid round picks.

Rasmussen comes in for Fabbri and gets an assist on Ryan's quick goal off the draw. This is the chance I've been waiting for.

Only 13 minutes of ice time but 2:36 on the PP which led all forwards.

    Zadina - Rasmussen - Ryan

Moritz Seider update. 5 goals and 19 assists in 31 games in the SEL.

Jonatan Breggren has 9 goals and 25 assists in 34 games in the SEL.

    I like these stats.
