Default UHL - New Dynasty League Starting for 2011/12

UHL is a new Dynasty League that Shakedown and I have started for the 2011-12 season. We're looking for one guy to fill in for a member who has asked to be replaced. Also will be starting a waiting list in case of upcoming vacancies.

We are now associated with the PG Advised section, so they will be active members in the league and will be writing articles based upon strategy, drafting and other happenings within the league.

Here's a quick look at the league setup:

Teams: 24 teams in 6 divisions
Format: Fantrax Salary cap, H2H Single W/L/T, Daily Starts
    Roster: 3C, 3LW, 3RW, 3F, 6D, 1G, 4BN, 4 IR
Farm: 17 Players which will expand to 22
Skater Categories:G, A, GWG, SHP, PPP, PIM, +/, SOG, Hits, Blks, Gv/Tk, FO%
Goalie Categories: W, SV, SV%, GAA, SO (Min goalie games: 1)
Other info: GM Rewards, Franchise Players, etc.

You can take a more in-depth look here:
    http://uhldynasty.proboards.com/index.cgi

Most important qualities for members are as I said before, dedication and passion.

You can send a pm to me if you're interested. Don't miss out on your chance to be a part of a unique and active league!

Hey Dyz - I took a look - quite impressed with the set-up - I think this is going to be a very good league. Clearly a league for serious poolies and yet not a league where a team is going to lock down dominance for several years without some real management wizardry - always going to be opportunity. Obviously some really thoughtful and experienced preparation has gone into this. Thumbs up!

Thanks Shoeless. I've been wanting to start a league like this for a while now, hope everything goes well and it turns out like I've imagined. If you decide you want in, invitation is always there

Dyz I am not going to go back into your league to find out for sure - but are you using a bidding process for FA? I have always wondered if the NHL waiver priority system would not result in slightly more equity in a fantasy hockey league.

It was something I considered but ultimately didn't implement. I've been part of a few auction based leagues and all of them have been the most disastrous leagues I've been a part of. Definitely something I'd be interested in doing, but due to past experience I held off. Unless you have a fail-safe system?

Think you might have misunderstood. I don't like a bidding process for FA players - I personally prefer to use the same model as the NHL for waivers.

Ah, yes i did misunderstand. When you asked if I was using a bidding process I thought you were implying that a bidding process would be more equal.

Our waiver process has not been set yet, but it won't be a bidding process, that's for sure. It will either be a first come, first serve basis or a model similiar to the NHL.

Hope that answers your question this time
