Just got back from some camping and had some time to think.
I would find it very funny and enjoyable if the Coyotes got contracted (giving the Oilers a player like OEL or Yandle in a contraction draft) and if the season were cancelled (giving the Oilers a great shot at another high end draft pick)
I would laugh. A lot.
the Oilers wouldn't have a great shot at a high pick if the season was cancelled. They'd have 1 ball.

Doesn't matter. The league loves seeing Tambellini's smug little troll face, so they would win.
Little update on Taylor Fedun who I'm sure some have forgotten about.
http://www.edmontonjournal.com/sport...867/story.htmlFedun eager to play
Taylor Fedun, who shattered his leg when he crashed into the boards during an exhibition game at Minnesota last fall, will start the season with the Oklahoma City Barons in the American Hockey League.
That’s fine with the defenceman, who is itching to compete again after last playing a game 11 months ago. Fedun is a forgotten guy in the Oilers’ organizational ladder, although he’s much higher up the depth chart than other young defenders.
“I really liked him last year at the three-on-three camp and I watched him closely (Monday) and he looks the same,” said Pearn, the Winnipeg Jets assistant coach.
“I feel I’m back to where I was last year,” said Fedun, who has been through rehabilitation and heavy fitness work to get into shape.
He’s had ample time to work on his upper-body strength, as well as repairing his leg.
“Benny (Bennett) and I have become pretty close,” he said with a laugh. “I’m very comfortable on the ice right now. No twinges at all (with his leg). People ask me about it, but I don’t think about it. If I have a race for the puck, maybe I’ll think about it then.”
From the same article:
Oilers better hope Yakupov's career doesn't follow the same path as Bonsignore'sYakupov plans on wearing No. 64 this season rather than the No. 10 he wore with the Sarnia Sting in junior, according to Larionov.
“Six and four. That’s still 10,” said Larionov, who knows Yakupov is a big fan of Pavel Bure, who wore No. 10.
Oilers captain Shawn Horcoff also has No. 10, of course.
Only two other Oilers, Jason Bonsignore and Milan Kytnar, have ever worn 64.

He could use 96. Bure used that for a while, right?
GO WINGS!
My coworker who plays rec league hockey played against Fedun, he tells me as far as he can tell Fedun has fully recovered because he was a beast on the ice. Sure it's rec league, but still good to hear that Fedun is skating well.
P.S Hoo rah off to buy my Taylor Hall jersey tomorrow and I'm going to wear it proudly for the next 8 years (injuries be damned!). Anyone know where the best place to buy named/numbered jerseys is?

Gotta love how completely idiotic Damien Cox is. Watching ther Oilers make a mockery of guys like him is going to be such a sweet thing!
Does that idiot realize we aren't a community owned team with an internal budget anymore?? Jeeze. We are the same as the Flyers, Rangers, etc. Able and willing to spend whatever money we can.

Anyone else been following Klefbom? He just got injured but from what I've read has basically been the best defenceman in the SEL up until that point.
