I'm not going to lie, watching a lot of Oilers games as I do, I don't see the Haas love. He's basically invisible most nights. Then again, so is the rest of the Oilers bottom six most nights.

Haas is definitely nothing special, but the team has consistently sawed off half the shots, xG and actual goals with him on the ice. Net neutral in the bottom-6 on this team is a huge win, and really all you need with a star-studded lineup. You'd like more but you can't afford to pay more because of the sins of the past. Paying to get someone better who has shown no evidence he'll actually be better seems like subtraction by addition.

What a stud. Not many Oiler fans (myself included) were happy when he was re-signed for the year but it's crazy how well he is playing.
He's a career 2.70, 0.912 goalie, about to have his best season ever.
Too bad for him it won't lead to a career contract.

I think everyone has been waiting for the cliff, and were more than 2/3 through the season and he's been killing it all year,band he's cliff hanging just fine.

I keep expecting every game to be the one where he completely implodes and goes on a horrendous streak of bad play. It has to come at some point, but I am enjoying the ride so far.
I don't see this team doing anything in the playoffs this year though. They get outplayed by the top teams regularly,
