I agree. In OT more so, but even through most of the game. Playing too many minutes.

I got that sense at other times in the game too. According to the Score, Draisaitl actually had more ice time than McDavid did, however. I also noticed that McDavid tends to play the entire powerplay, or at least most of it in many cases. Just thinking that we are 9 games in. If McDavid is exhausted now, this kind of pace can't be good.

    this is a definite concern

in addition to slowing down due to exhaustion, the bigger concern is that if McDavid and Draisaitl are too tired when on the ice, they are more susceptible to injury.

Kudos to Colby Cave, Oiler prospect. Seems like a great kid.

Knocked out Martin Pospisil, Flames prospect, with a nasty quick right the other night.
Texted him to make sure he was ok.
You could even see right after the fight that he was genuinely concerned. There's not enough of that in sports.

I really like seeing classy behaviour from hockey players, even if it is an Oiler prospect.

Yep he looks tired. I've noticed it for a few games with some blind passes and uncharacteristic giveaways. He should have scored 2-3 times in OT last night easily but just wasn't very sharp.

Goaltending has largely been excellent this season. Secondary scoring on the other hand...

Goaltending has been flipping 2GP on each side consistently. It's a planned timeshare it seems.

Ya, it's pretty hard to criticize the Oilers goalies this year.

Yeah, I guess Oiler fans should be depressed with the decent start, lol. I'll take what I've seen so far and be happy with that. Tippett is a legitimate coach and I hope that he can continue to get the best out of Koskinen/Smith well into the season and provide the naysayers with a larger sample size.

Secondary scoring was always a big concern with this team coming into the season.
