Oh for sure - and he's pretty crafty and solid out there, and makes hard/crisp breakout passes.

His time in Hamilton, taking over as no 1 D, has clearly shot up his confidence level.

Lucky to have been there! It was a pretty fun game to watch.

This team is definitely fun to watch so far. To me, they have a clearly different feel at home than on the road but either way, with absolutely no expectations, they've done well so far.

Xhekaj has been great and a ton of fun to watch. He might make mistakes but he's already demonstrated that it won't be a fun time for opposing forwards to face him.

Eventually, the rookies will probably hit some sort of a wall and there'll be games where they don't look good, but as long as the overall arc of their season sees an improvment, it's a success. If this Habs team manages to stay in the race for a while, it's only a good thing. They're not catching the Yotes and Hawks (and Sharks, apparently) at the bottom.

2022 1st overall pick, #GoHabsGo Juraj Slafkovsky played his 10th NHL game last night: his 3 year contract has therefore officially begun.

He is no longer slide eligible and will be an RFA in summer 2025.

Yeah, that was an ugly check and he should get suspended for that. Sucks but hopefully it's a learning experience.

That being said, the officiating was horrendous in that game. Apart from the crazy discrepancy in calls (7 PPs to 1), the actual calls were tough to follow. Similar plays would get called differently and the refs seemed on edge the whole night which got Savard a nice 10-min misconduct to start the 3rd. I'm usually really lenient on the refs, but that was a bad showing last night. At least, the PK got some work done and was solid.

2 games makes sense. No problem with that. Pitlick back in the lineup? Or maybe Pezzetta.

Just watched the game recaps. The blue jersey looked good. Not as good as the blue, red and white. Still, pretty nice.

NHL is bringing back fan voting for the all-star game. It's being done on Twitter using the #NHLAllStarVote hashtag. Xhekaj is already trending lol

The event is a joke so this could be fun.

The NBA did this last year and a Korean popstar and got Andrew Wiggins (a good but not great player) as an All-Star starter by having fans retweet the original tweet. They scrapped the program for this year lol.
