    QS is quality starts.

Glad to see the Habs power play was in mid-season form tonight. 0-for-whatever, two shorties.

Yep. Didn’t miss a beat. Price in mid-season form and Jordan Weal on the PP. Operation Lafreniere in full effect apparently.

Not sure what the Habs are thinking with their current lineup. No reason to dress guys like Weal, Weise and Ouellet. Give guys like Poehling, Evans and Fleury some experience. Nothing to lose anyway.

100% agree. And for some baffling reason Julien thinks Weal belongs on the PP. I’d much rather see any number of players in that spot.

I think their goal is to win the Stanley Cup and they think dressing the current lineup is their best chance of accomplishing that goal. So far so good.

This is right out of Claude Julien's playbook. Veterans over youth. I still say he's a terrible coach when it comes to developing young players.

What's funny is it was two kids who helped them win when Suzuki and Kotkaniemi scored.

This is just pathetic. No goals in two games? Price gets no help at all.

They got those posts dialed in though. Must’ve played too much pick-up during the break. It’s hard to see them need to ice a few AHL players but hey, they were sellers at the deadline. And the kids look pretty good.

Suzuki and Kok have played well. The only other forwards producing chances is the fourth line. That doesn't bode well.

I'm so sick of watching the disappointment of Drouin. Most of the forwards seem to have completely lost all confidence after Game 2.

As a goaltender myself, I'll tell you what we say when we hear a shot ringing off the iron; that's what they're there for.

Players hitting the posts tells you that the shooters aren't seeing the net enough and that's due to excellent goalie positioning; something Habs fans have had the benefit of seeing for years from their own goalie.

The biggest issue for Montreal is their lack of any true offensive game-breakers on their roster. Sure, the two kids have looked good and are taking the steps needed, but the rest of the team isn't good enough to bury it. It's interesting to watch. The team seems to be able to generate opportunities but can't finish. Yes, a lot of credit goes to Hart but a lot of blame can go to a lack of ability to finish on the Habs players.

Price has done his part. He must be frustrated to no extent losing three games and only given up five goals.

    Same as it ever was

Scraping into the playoffs most years leading to mediocre draft picks, and then when we do miss the playoffs we draft duds or trade them away.

Can't entice FA cause our fans are crazy, our taxes are ridiculous and our media is relentless.

The future is looking a little better with KK and Suzuki, Caufield and Romanov coming up and who ever we draft this year, but the core of the problems will remain.

    Rinse and repeat forever.

Just in time for Price to start the decline.

Insert Cayden Primeau and start 14 more years of 3rd and 4th line pluggers getting top PP minutes.

I like Primeau but he's no Carey Price.
