You could be right on all accounts.

Maybe it was a light practice with no contact drills but it looks like he was wearing a normal practice jersey.

And Niemi gets a second straight start. I don’t like that. Price needs to get his head on straight. Ever since he signed the big contract he’s been sub-par. I think the contract has him so uptight he can’t play. He needs to be like Nuke Laloosh...don’t think meat. Maybe he needs to try wearing a garter or breathing through his eye lids...

Price is back in goal tomorrow, which is totally predictable after Niemi got shelled.

I thought Price should started against the Oilers. It’s like picking starts for your fantasy goalies - you get burned more often then not. Just put your best lineup out there every night. Rest your starter on back to backs and if he’s tired. You’re not helping his confidence by not starting him because “he doesn’t play well against the Oilers”. Niemi didn’t earn the next start by giving up 4 to Vegas. I didn’t like the decision.

In fairness Neimi made some great stops... Not really his fault.

I didn't say Niemi didn't make some great saves.

He made some great saves but he also gave up some weak ones. Both the Caggula and RNH goals were not good. Great saves are nice but you have to make the routine ones too. Both those goals just took the air out of the team.

Apparently JS Giguere doesn’t like Price’s play. This coming from the guy whose main technique was wearing equipment so over-sized he looked like the Michelin Man. This seems like a jerk move to me.
