    Same as it ever was.
It probably was also how they played : Defense > Offense
Goalies looked good and Offense is affected by that

They played ok last night, but I got flash back of last year.
Tons of shots, but very low percentage scoring chance type shots.

Drouin is trying to hard to when he has the puck.
Putting him with Domi should be good.

    Really liking Tatar so far.

I also saw some nerves in some players. Misfires, losing the puck, players falling for no reason. That killed at least a half-dozen chances. The ice was also very bad for some reason with the puck bouncing everywhere. Shouldn't happen in that arena.

Danault seemed to do nothing right all night.

Tatar looks great. Really felt bad for him when he hit that bar last night. You can tell he's getting eager for that first goal, which is fair considering how hard the guy's been working.

I don't care if this team doesn't do well - I enjoy watching them way more this year. That scrum behind the net where Danault jumped in to support? That would never have happened last year. Some guy gets in a scuffle and you'd see Pacioretty slowly drifting back to the bench. There was no unity. At least they're working hard and supporting one another and playing an enjoyable, up-tempo brand of hockey this year.

I'm surprised how the defense look good with no defenseman Top-2 (Reilly, Mete and Juulsen)
I'm a little disappointed by Armia and hope that Julien will try Kotkaniemi with someone else than him...

The defense has done well overall, at least in terms of not getting pinned down. The first two goals yesterday followed defensive gaffes.

Yep, but I think for now the biggest issue is to finish their plays... A lot of scoring chances but no one to complete it

I have a bad feeling that the tonight game looks like a typical "Game that Habs are supposed to win because they won against better teams... but will lose infortunately against a really bad one"

    The Great One

Nope. They won. Fun game to watch but I started getting nervous when the Wings started coming alive. Oulette going after Bertuzzi was a stark reminder that we don’t really have anyone to fill that role. I don’t think Oulette even tried to throw a punch. I guess Deslaurier when he’s back - from the injury he got in a fight. I just felt the game started going down that garbage time road and the Habs have no answer for that. I thought Peca earned some more games. What should be done with Kotkaniemi as we approach the 9 game mark?
