Okay. This headline made me laugh. What the hell have the Leafs done? They may be in a better positions at the moment, but come on, how could anyone say this? I'd have a hard time putting more than maybe 5 TML's amongst the Habs top 50 of all time.

The Habs front office has been abysmal when it comes to drafting and developing prospects, but the Leafs are not the model of success. In their own right, they haven't made the conference finals since, when, they lost to Jersey in the early 2000s? Philly in like 2003 or 04? Thereafter, the proceeded to crater to embarrassingly low positions in the standings, drafting in the top 5 for the bulk of the last 15 years... 15 years! 15!! So eventually, when they turn top 2 picks into Phil Kessel and flip that for Kapanen, draft Marner inside the top 5, Rielly same, trade high picks for a good goalie, win the Matthews lotter AND overpay to get one of the best coaches in hockey, do they re-experience success..

I am the first to say the Habs need a lot of work, but give me a break Toronto.... puh-lease...

Exactly. Comedic headline of the season and I'm not a Hab or Leaf fan.

Last home game of the season tonight. The fan reaction might get interesting if the Habs fall behind early.

This is hardly relevant news but it popped up on my Fantrax feed just now. Former Hab Tom Kostopoulos (now with Pittsburgh's AHL team) is retiring after this season. I'm just relieved he won't be brought back as the team's top-line RW for next season...
