Danault looks like a solid 3rd liner who is being forced into a 2nd line role due to injuries. Nice player but I don't expect great numbers offensively.

As Eric said, he's a decent 3rd liner. His defensive game is good for a young player and he is able to be flexible when it comes to various roles on different lines/units. I don't think he's able to sustain a productive rate playing top-6 duties but he should be able to perform well as a filler here and there. Players like Danault can help a team go far in the playoffs due to their versatility. Don't take my words out of context though; Danault is not a key component of the Habs at the moment, but hopefully, he could eventually be.

The only top-six Danault should/will ever see is either due to injuries or on a team like the Hawks that combines highly-paid stars with the best of their cheap alternatives.

Or on a team coached by Therrien. He kept using Weise on the top line, so stranger things have happened.

12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

    League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Your comment brought back memories of Travis Moen and Mathieu Darche.

Argh! I had forgotten all about Moen's time in Montreal. On purpose.

Same for McCormick? They just brought him up too and that's what I thought his destiny was as well.

McCarron is going through development right now. He was called up to cover for injuries. He has more upside than Danault.

Petry - is he any good? He recently took over Markov's spot on PP1 (before Markov got injured) and has scored three goals since.

Thinking of taking a flier on him for the week.

His performance depends entirely on Markov being out so if you want to bet on that for the time he's out....

He took over Markov's spot over a week ago and responded with 2 goals before Markov got injured, so I'm not sure it's a slam dunk that Markov gets his spot back up returning.

Defenders were shadowing Weber on the PP so they needed another credible shooting threat on the point. His promotion to PP1 had nothing to do with Markov's injury which happened after.

Biggest story on the team is Price staring down the team. Could you imagine how big this story would be if he actually said something on the way by???

Looks like Markov will be out the next two games. Makes sense to keep him out until after Christmas.
